decided to visit my parents in Delhi without taking my Switch/Steam Deck along. so many regrets 🥲
these circumstances have made me realize that macOS is not good at running games. like, at all. poor compatibility, crashes, strange graphical glitches, problems with correctly identifying and configuring controllers.
i'm tempted to purchase a few AAA games from the App Store just to see if these problems are limited to Steam or if every game runs poorly on macOS.
@s3thi what steam games have you been trying?
@me Rogue Legacy 2 and Gris so far.
RL2 has some graphical glitches here and there, and random frame drops once in a while.
Gris seems okay in the few minutes i’ve played it. but there’s a bug that makes all controller input occasionally go haywire in both games. restarting the games and reconnecting the controller fixes it.
i also can’t Cmd+Tab out of games to pause them, at least as far as i can tell. my input just gets ignored.
this is on a M1 MacBook Pro.
